Introduction
The North Central Alabama Affiliate's local grants program support non-profit organizations that provide innovative breast health/breast cancer education and direct service programs within our service area. In order to ensure we are funding programs that address the specific unmet breast health needs of the community, the North Central Alabama Affiliate works with local medical experts and community leaders to conduct comprehensive community needs assessments. These community profiles are then used to establish local grant application and review processes consistent with the Komen for the Cure's standards and mission.
To apply for a Komen North Central Alabama grant, your organization must be:
- A not-for-profit (federally tax-exempt) organization, e.g., non-profit organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions are eligible.
- Located in the Komen North Central Alabama Affiliate service area, which includes the 38 north and central counties. Click here for map and list of these counties.
