Participating in the Susan G. Komen North Central Alabama Race for the Cure® with a team multiplies the fun, the laughter and maybe even the tears that you share on Race Day. Rally around someone you know who was just diagnosed, someone who has fought the battle, or someone who may have lost the battle. Together, with your friends, family and co-workers, you make an even greater impact than you could alone.
Teams are the heart and soul of the Race. They not only contribute to the event's spirit and sense of community, but also provide a significant source of revenue by raising large amounts of pledge dollars.
Important Deadline Approaching!
Friday, October 2nd is the deadline to add new members to your team if you choose to have your team members packets boxed together. We are asking you as team captains to let your members know whether you will be picking up the team box and distributing their packets or if they are responsible for picking up their own packet. Once team boxes are prepared, individual team members may not pick up their own packets from packet pick-up.
We will be at our office until 6pm on Friday, Oct. 2nd accepting paper registration forms from you and your team members. Participants that register under your team after that date will not have their packet in your team box, but it can be picked up individually at packet pick-up during the same time as team box pick-up.

The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team members can join the team. A team is a group of 10 or more participants who register under a common team name. Any company, family, group of friends, club, community organization, school, or faith group can form a team. Team captains recruit team members for your team, encourage team participation and fundraising, and organize events for your team. You help your team members have the tools they need to raise donations and recruit more team members!

Team Box Inclusion Deadlines for Packet Pick-up
Team Box Inclusion deadline for Teams having their packets boxed together (i.e. to have all of your team members participant t-shirts and packets available for pick-up at Brookwood Village members must register for your team by Friday, October 2nd.) Team members joining your team AFTER October 2nd will NOT have their packets in the team box and will have to pick up their packets at Brookwood Village during the week of October 12th - 16th.
The packets of members joining AFTER Sept 26th will NOT be included in your Team Box. This means that anyone can join your team and fundraise for your team up until the day of the Race! Please be sure to inform all prospective team members of this info!

Use of the Komen logo or Race for the Cure logo is prohibited for Race for the Cure teams. We do however offer four Official Team T-Shirt Insignias for your use.
